Getting Started
After you apply, we'll reveiw your information to make sure you're a good fit. Within 24 hours, you'll get a confirmation email with a link to our onboarding dashboard that makes onboarding a breeze. You'll find three steps there:
• First, e-sign our Service Agreement. • Second, schedule us for the install at a date and time convenient for you. • Finally, establish your business and payment details via the ultra secure Stripe Connect platform.
Self‑hosting means buying and managing your own Hotspot without going through Frankly Wireless. It’s a good option if you’re tech‑savvy and comfortable with extra paperwork and a bit of extra tax accounting. But since this is frontier technology, there’s a risk it may not take off. With us, you get earnings risk‑free. If the network flourishes and you want to dive in yourself, there's no contract holding you back.
We pay on the 5th of every month, provided the Service Agreement is signed, the Hotspot has earnings to share and the host has completed the Stripe Connect onboarding. Payments are made via direct deposit.
Technical Details
The Hotspot doesn’t use your Wi‑Fi, but it does share your internet connection. In most cases, the impact is so minimal you won’t notice. If you ever feel otherwise, there’s no contract—just unplug it and we’ll come pick it up. One extra thing to consider: sky high demand for connectivity in your business is an awesome problem to have. Addressing that demand should be quite valuable to you.
Right now, T‑Mobile, AT&T, and a few smaller carriers are already using the network in some spots with some of their customers. Usage is likely to grow over time and others will follow—it just takes time. Initial carrier uptake can take weeks or even months and during that time, the Hotspot sits patiently waiting to become useful. Earnings during this time will be quite low, but when

The Hotspot’s carrier‑grade transmissions use WPA3 encryption and certificate‑based authentication—no passwords to steal—and strictly isolates devices to block cross‑device attacks. It also prevents WAN traffic from reaching your internal network, and its public captive‑portal access (optional and off by default) is fully segmented with client isolation. In short, it delivers far stronger security than a typical ISP router. If your customers are using your Wi-Fi, then bringing us in is substantial upgrade to your security.
